Yes, it is true. The man who can hopefully put a stop to the madness and turn this country around has won the Democratic Nominee!!!!!!!! However, Billary and McSame made sure to take the spotlight away from him last night. First, McSame with his speech where he was totally reading off a monitor promoter and then Billary has to go and say that she will not make any decisions right now. Um…..isn’t there really only one decision you can make??? Concede!!! She, along with her whack job of a husband, are obsessed with the presidency. Yes, Bill did A LOT of good, and I am not being sarcastic, during his presidency, but he has kind of gone off his rocker. McSame and Billary should’ve let Obama have his night, but I know how the game is played.

Anyways, Obama was on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams (that is a really good news show to watch). He is so awesome! It is going to be really cool to say that I along with Beth, Nick and Sarah saw the next president of the United States in person in little ol’ Parma, Ohio (and Sarah and I saw him also in Akron).

With him getting this nomination, I feel a sigh of relief. We are over one hurdle. Now we just have to get over the next hurdle which is McSame and then we are coasting to the big WH.

OBAMA ‘08!!!!!

P.S. Nick and I already ordered our Obama buttons and rally sign to hang in our front window since we think a yard sign would get stolen again. I was going to get a “Got Hope?” bumper sticker, but Nick was worried about the car getting vandalized. That is bad when we have to worry about that.

(Hopefully you have heard of this one, Nici!!) We watched “Enchanted” with Patrick Dempsey and the redded headed chic who played Jim’s girlfriend and sold the purses on “The Office.” I forget her name. Anyways, it was a cute movie. It is totally a kid’s movie I think, but it was cute nonetheless. Glad we didn’t pay to see it in the theater. Next on our radar is “Juno.” Heard that was pretty good.

So, Jonathon and Andy Hillstrand (better known as the captains of the Time Bandit) from Discovery Channel’s “The Deadliest Catch” were in town. They were at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Legacy Village doing a book sign. So, we high tailed it up there and stood in line for 3 hours to meet and get our picture with the boys. We had a blast! And they were super cool. They signed our book and we got a great picture with. It was so neat to meet them!

We got our “economic stimulus” money. Thank you Mr. Bush for the free money!!!! We will take it and run!!

Do not bother renting “Hot Rod.” It is with Adam Samberg from Saturday Night Live. We watched the first half hour and turned it off. It was horrible. Not funny at all.

“Shrek 3″ was cute. I liked it. Nick wasn’t too impressed. It had a lot of cameos (i.e. John Krasinski, Justin Timberlake, Amy Pohler). It is worth renting.

Another one not to bother with is “V for Vendetta.” We thought it was going to be a lot of action. Not so much. It was more a love story that had a horrible end.

We also watched “Hot Fuzz.” It is with Simon Pegg who was in “Run Fatboy Run.” It had it’s funny parts, but not the funny British comedy we were hoping for. It’s worth renting.

Obama pulled out a win in North Carolina, while coming in close to Billary in Indiana. I am very relieved with these results. I was just listening to Tim Russert (he is a Cleveland Marshall Law School grad) and he said IT’S MATHMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Billary to catch up to Obama. He said even if Michigan and Florida’s delegates are seated, Billary still can’t catch up with Obama. Yea!!!! Someone at work said Obama’s speech yesterday was amazing and basically was an acceptance speech of the nomination. Everywhere I hear and read that it’s just a formality for Billary now. As someone said at work today “Who’s going to step down first – Hillary or Marc Dann?”. Hopefully it’s Billary, but Dann needs to go as well. What a sleaze ball. Anyways, back to my boyfriend. I hope that the next six primaries go Obama’s way and Billary sees the writing on the wall and seps down. From now on I will wait for the news break stating that Billary is stepping down. Then Obama can concentrate on November and beating McLame.

Go Obama, you are the breath of fresh air this country needs.

I fear that you are losing your power. Rev. Wright really messed you up. Polls in Indiana are showing Billary way ahead. I don’t even want to see the polls from North Carolina. Edwards is from there and I read somewhere that he leans more toward Billary. I fear North Carolina will follow their senator. I really want you to win. We need you to win. However, I really feel and fear that Billary is going to beat you. She has preyed upon the Rev. Wright situation and it didn’t help that Rev. Wrights is speaking out. Gas is now $3.59 and Donato’s Pizza says that if you bring in a gas reciept you will get what you paid per gallon off your total bill. When pizza places are doing this kind of promo you know things are bad.

Gosh, this really stinks. I have heard you speak twice and I really listened to you. My sister and mom voted for you and they were going for Billary. You changed the minds of them, but you need to change the minds of much more people. I am really saddened by this whole situation. You spoke of hope and change and we so badly need that right now. Bush is in complete denial about the economy. What does he not see or understand??? Oh, that’s right, he doesn’t pay for groceries, gas, electricity, clothing, etc. Thus, he doesn’t care.

Come on, Obama. Pull through this. We need you to. You are the first candidate that has opened my eyes. You got my sister excited. You are awesome. No matter what they say, I still believe in you. I know that doesn’t mean much, but it’s all that I have.

Thank you,

Becca

The Cleveland Indians beat the New York Spankees today and last night. We went to the game last night and go to sit in the loge! The loge we were in was right next Curt Jaccob’s and two down from Mark Shapiro’s! We saw Mark and his two adorable children. We had a great time at the game. Every Friday night is fireworks. They did a really good job! The Indians hit two homers right in a row. Then today, they beat the Spankees in the bottom of the 9th, with bases loaded and one out. Martinez hit a solid hit and Sizemore scored the winning run. Hearing Hamilton go nuts on the radio is awesome. Hearing his voice lets you know that summer is right around the corner. Go Tribe!!

So Barack did not win Pennsylvania like he did in my dreams. However, he did get delegates and that is what matters. Billary is still behind him by more than 100 and I do not think she’ll be able to catch up to him. North Carolina and Indiana are coming up. Indiana, from what I have read, is locked up for Barack. Northa Carolina might be difficult. They have a lot of delegates as well. I think 111. However, Virginia and South Carolina are like Ohio, from, again, what I have read. So, hopefully North Carolina, which is sandwiched in between Virginia and South Carolina, will vote like its neighbors. Again, I think Barack has Indiana locked up. The bad thing is that people are starting to question his electability since he can’t seem to win the big states. This worries me. This worries me because the superdelegates might listen to this and nominate Billary even though Barack has the majority of the delegates. He has to win this nomination. Gas is $3.59 in Parma. Oranges are $1 a piece.  Our electric bills seems to keep going up (or that is do to the Hair Meatball trimming his goatee). It was interesting, today on cnn.com it said that there was an emergency meeting in regards to the gas prices. However, there is no followup articles. Cnn.com does not say one thing about this supposed meeting. Why? Because Big Oil does not care about us little peoples!!!! Barack needs to win so that he can turn this country around. We won’t be able to afford to drive or live soon. Bush could care less. He is the true essence of a “lame duck president.” And if Barack doe not win, he and I will always have that almost moment where we almost met at Valley Forge High School in Parma in the auditorium. I drive by that high school on my way to school and always think about that day…..

If you all have not heard yet, National City Bank is staying put, right here in Cleveland. Equity investors from New York City are providing NCB with $6-7 billion dollars to help it out of its hole. That means Becca still has a job!! Well, for right now. The new investors will own quit a bit of NCB after all is said and done so job cuts could be down the road. But for right now, NCB will stay put and as is. Go to www.cleveland.com and see the whole story.
